I found this to be relevant to the current state of the play around the world. I look at the way the world works and the outcomes of our approaches to virtually everything and it is this phrase comes back to be again and again. We fall just a bit short in everything we do as a species.

We have many very intelligent and capable people, we have very many compassionate and caring people but these are not the people who organise things. These are not the people we turn to in a crisis. These are not the people who are able to influence events.

We fall just a bit short.
